| How our service works. |

We receive your photos, slides, negatives or videos and convert them for you and then send everything back to you by courier.
Ordering You can place an order online in our Online Store section or you can download the pdf of our order from. If you know how many photos you have please place the order online. If you don't know, use the order form. Mixing & Matching You can mix and match our scanning packages to suit - ie if you have 750 photos, you can buy a 150 photo package and a 600 photo package. All of the packages are available to browse and price up in our online store section or you can jump to relevant pricing by using the pricing drop down menu at the top of each page. Quality We have two scanning quality levels for photos - 300dpi or 600 dpi. If you want to make a photo book or view your photos on your big TV - choose 600 dpi. For computers, laptops or anything with a screen less than 24", 300 dpi should be fine for you. Preparing Your Order As our service is generally mail order (unless you want to drop them off to us in Wiltshire), please make sure you securely pack your photos, especially if you are sending a large quantity. We like to receive photos in bundles - large piles in elastic bands are best - individual photos in envelopes are not so easy to work with ! Getting Your Photos to us If your order value if over £200 we will arrange a free collection for you. If you order online, you will notice the option of a chargeable collection that we will arrange for you. We use couriers like Fed Ex, DHL or TNT. You can select this an an option or alternatively you can take your photos to the Post Office or book a collection online using Parcel2go.com or Interparcel - bath are very good. Scanning & Conversion Once we have received your order we will start scanning or converting. Most orders are fulfilled very quickly. Once everything is converted, we will send everything back to you by courier. Again this is a tracked and secure service and we have a 100% success rate. Any Extras Don't worry if you have mis counted your photos, we will contact you if you need to pay any extras. |

Recommendations for Photo Album Software
Once you have your disc back from us you can add your photos to your PC or Mac. Our photo scanning disc will contain jpg files that have been scanned in the order you presented them to us. This means the time / date order will be visually accurate.
You can import your photos using the built in tools of Windows XP or Vista. If you use a Mac you will probably be using iPhoto. Similar packages for PC exist including Adobe PhotoShop Elements and of course the excellent Google Picasa. These packages allo you to create Albums or folders. This means you can multiple select the photographs we have scanned on screen and drag them into your newly created virtual photo albums. ..Download Google Picasa
Backing Up Your photos
Once you have all of your old photos scanned and have them together with your new digital photos you need to make sure they are backed up. You can do this in a number of ways and very simply you can backup to a DVD which will hold around 4.5GB of data which could be 5000 photos. If you have more than this number, which many people now do, backing up to another PC or across the internet to a Photo Bank offers you the best level of protection.
