If you have tried scanning yourselves at home you will know that the process is painfully slow. Like other services we use scanners with feeders for the bulk of the photo scanning we do. This allows us to scan photos comparatively quickly to a home user but it does open up the possibility of streaks caused by dust falling off the photos.
